As
a Member host of the International Wwoof Organisation, UTLT
has, over the years, attracted an eclectic mix of people ready
and able to give their skills in a caring, casual and community
based way.
What
does it mean? Barking
mad since the 1970's, the idea is that any member
"wwoofer" from anywhere around the world can come
here and in return for their delicious board and homely lodging,
contribute to various ongoing projects at UTLT for as long
as agreed.
WWOOF
is a safe way of travelling ~ you're guaranteed to meet people
and it's an opportunity to explore & expand on one's personal
& social skills in a shared environment.
This
important to UTLT for 2 prinicpal reasons
(i)
Nikki and Sean have travelled extensively around
the world (and we hope we haven't stopped yet!) We know what
its like to travel on a budget, to find like-minded people
and those you can trust, to give up what's familiar and instead
embrace the unknown and unkowable... can be scary man!
(ii)
UTLT is an ongoing adventure! It's a work-in-progress
of ideas, innovations, improvements and ideologies, and absolutely
all help in that process is graciously accepted!
