UTLT you have the choice to chill out on site, or
take the time to explore further afield. It's a great stop-off
point for the south, but there's much to see and do locally.

important local towns within easy reach are: Angouleme, Aubeterre,
Brantome, Brigueuil, Chazzelles, Cognac, Confolens, Jarnac,
La Rochefoucauld, La Rochelle, Limoges, Montbron, Poitiers,
Rouillac, Royan, Sarlat, Tusson, Villebois-Lavalette.
Still
relatively unknown, the Charente has tourist attractions
but without the crowds to spoil them. Rural ways of life are
predominant outside the towns and one can often feel as if
time itself has stood still. People and businesses are welcoming
and friendly, and the pace of life manageable and relaxed!
Enjoying
its own micro climate, the weather in the Charente
can be changeable, but it's generally warmer and more stable
than the UK climate for instance.
